A Message from the State Advisory Committee

In July 2007, the California Department of Social Services, Office of Child Abuse Prevention (CDSS/OCAP), the Statewide Advisory Committee and Parents Anonymous® Inc. began collaborating on a joint project to develop and maintain a California Parent Engagement Center . The Center will be a statewide database of parent engagement programs and strategies that will assist the state in moving toward the use of evidence-based/evidence-informed programs and strategies that include meaningful involvement of parents.

As part of the effort to create this database, we have developed an online survey to begin the process of collecting vital information on parent engagement programs and strategies throughout the state. The findings from completed surveys will assist the CDSS/OCAP in establishing baseline information and provide insight on how California can improve the development, implementation and evaluation of parent engagement. The database will be continuously updated.

Those who should complete this survey are administrators, staff and parents who work in or manage Parent Engagement programs/strategies in California .

You can contribute to the database by completing the survey. Your input will greatly enhance the information that we collect for this vital database.
